Ilana Rosen LCSW-R and Associates is proud to have engaged Dr. Nachum (Andrew) Klafter as a consultant for our practice. He performs psychiatric evaluations for clients who may benefit from psychotropic medications, and for clients who are suffering form complex difficulties which require additional diagnostic clarification. In addition, Dr. Klafter provides psychotherapy and psychoanalytic trainings for our staff therapists. Dr. Klafter is originally from upstate NY, where he attended college (SUNY Binghamton) and medical school (SUNY Buffalo). He completed his residency training in Philadelphia PA at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Klafter was recruited to join the faculty of the University of Cincinnati, where he has provided lectures and supervision in psychodynamic psychotherapy to medical students and physicians for the last 21 years. He graduated from the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute’s training program in 2011 and was certified by the American Board of Psychoanalysis in 2020 as a fully credentialed psychoanalyst. Dr. Klafter has lectured nationally and overseas on various topics related to of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Dr. Klafter also serves as a forensic evaluator and expert witness for the American court system as well as for Battei Din (rabbinical courts which adjudicate marital, family, financial, and legal disputes according to Jewish Law).
