Chana Trabelsi, MSW

Chana Trabelsi, MSW, grew up in Buffalo, NY. She received her BA in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo, and completed an MSW from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She began her career working with Addiction & Rehabilitation and then moved to working with family members who have a loved one incarcerated. Chana has extensive training by Dr Lawrence Shulman, MSW, EdD in the skills of helping individuals, families, groups and communities. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioral development, Play Therapy, Somatic and Inner Child work. She’s accumulated vast knowledge and experience working with those dealing with grief, ambiguous loss, maternal mental health, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, codependency and eating disorders. Chana has a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individual's biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs. She desires to create a safe and comfortable environment to assist in healing trauma, building self-worth, developing skills and reaching goals. With her compassion and understanding nature, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
