Ilana Rosen, LCSW-R

Ilana Rosen, LCSW-R, grew up in Boston, and attained her BA in English at Smith College.  She holds a MA from the School of Film and Television at the University of Southern California, and completed an MSW from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 1997. Ilana is widely trained in various modalities of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (“IFS”), EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Play Therapy, and AEDP. Ilana has special expertise in the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic disorders, grief, bereavement and medical issues, anxiety, depression, borderline personality, codependence, separation/individuation difficulties, and relationship problems. She is certified by the State of New York as a supervisor for therapists who are not yet fully licensed, and has vast experience providing mentorship and guidance for beginner, intermediate, and advanced therapists seeking to deepen their understanding of complex emotional phenomena in the psychotherapy process. Ilana’s view of psychotherapy is integrative and individualized; she collaborates with physicians who can prescribe psychotropic medications, somatic therapists, therapeutic yoga instructors, body workers, and clinicians who work in various other modalities which she believes can help the specific patients she works with.  Ilana strives to bring wisdom, compassion, experience, and humor to the healing process.
