About Us
At Ilana Rosen LCSW-R and Associates, we believe that meaningful mental health care begins with feeling deeply understood. Our practice is dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with care shaped by each person’s unique experiences, relationships, strengths, and struggles.
We view psychotherapy as a collaborative process between the therapist and client which fosters self-understanding, growth, and increased emotional freedom. Through the therapeutic relationship, clients often begin to think about themselves, their relationships, and their struggles in new ways. While therapists bring experience, perspective, and support, lasting change emerges from the client’s own developing understanding, strengths, and inner resources
Our therapists work with individuals facing many kinds of emotional and relational difficulties: Depression, anxiety, relationship and marital conflict, family concerns, life transitions, difficult decisions, spiritual and religious struggles, eating disorders, dissociative disorders, personality disorders, and the effects of abuse and other trauma (whether recent, ongoing, or rooted in earlier experiences)—these are common presenting problems in our practice.
We are fully committed to helping individuals who have been diagnosed with personality disorders, and it is our strong belief such many such clients have been misunderstood or unfairly stigmatized to the point that they have found previous therapy treatments blaming and demoralizaing.
Because no single therapeutic approach is right for everyone, our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, behavioral and cognitive therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodrama, sand tray work, EMDR, therapeutic breath work, EFT, inner-child work, somatic interventions, and supportive approaches. All of our therapists are trauma-informed and strive to provide care that is thoughtful, respectful, collaborative, and responsive to each person’s needs.
We are committed to making care accessible to the communities we serve. Services are available in English, Yiddish, and Hebrew. We accept Fidelis Care and Medicaid, and offer sliding-scale fees based on income. (We are in the process of becoming credentialed with MVP Medicaid and will update this page when it’s done.)
For individuals who may benefit from medication treatment or psychiatric consultation, we work in coordination with Dr. Andrew (Nachum) Klafter. Additional information about Dr. Klafter can be found on the “Meet Our Therapists” page, and his contact information is also provided below.
